Mindfulness increases overall satisfaction. For sure. Meditation has been helpful with this. It’s taught me to observe my thoughts without being overwhelmed by them and triggering an anxiety spiral.
I’ve also read and enjoyed your previous post about arguments, and here are my thoughts, if I may.
In a growth mindset, if we shift our minds from trying to be more correct to trying to be less wrong, then being proven wrong (perhaps by someone else in a debate) is liberating. It’s anti-fragile. Being proven wrong actually suits this mindset, and so both parties win.
I like the growth mindset example - connecting ideas is like solving a puzzle. It is about spotting links between different thoughts. When we pay attention, we see these hidden connections. Thank you for the feedback, Adam, and glad to have you here :-).
A very rich piece, Tinashe, I like how you explain these concepts practically.
The concept of antifragility is a particularly important one. I was fascinated by how Taleb sees it, explaining that the opposite of fragility is antifragility, not resilience. Chaos and randomness are not problems to solve, but rather realities we should learn to function in.
Thanks for this one brother. Very insightful. True wisdom worth sharing.
It's not just about bouncing back, but actually getting stronger from challenges and randomness. Thank you for the positive feedback brother, I am glad to have you here.
Your essay is so inspiring! I love how you use antifragility and proactive acceptance and how you explain it so well! Thank you!!! These expressions are staying with me and I bet I will start to see more patterns :).
This is a great way to start off this new week! Let me pull out my journal and write this down. Thank you for writing this, every now and then, we all need this advice.
Great article Tinashe. I do go agree that paying attention helps you connect dots that you didn’t imagine could connect without being in that zone. Its like thats the price we pay as writers. Its about not just living our lives passively but mentally and attentively engaging to note the little details.
Thank you for expanding on this perspective. A lot of concepts are connected but joining them is the fun part. It is the key to creativity and problem-solving. I am to have you here MacDaniel.
This post reminds us that we have more control over our experiences than we might think. By being more mindful and approaching challenges with the right mindset, we can improve our lives. Thank you for your words, Tinashe!

Bri, thank you for sharing your thoughts! Have you tried Breathwork before?
Yes. It’s okay. I prefer meditation. I like box breathing. But it’s not my go-to.
The "attentiveness (to) build(ing) trust" is so elusive in this day. Thank you for reminding me to keep on "attending" to it.
True Lucinda, I am glad it resonates, and thanks for commenting :-).
